A single flower drawn across deep red lacquer in white mother-of-pearl, with petals veined by fine lines and touched with gold leaf. Small pearl-like beads fall from the stems.

The same drawing is cut differently on each piece, so a wall panel, a lidded box, a handled tray and a group of six small lidded squares can be read as one composition, or used apart.
